Haha re-reading that message I realize it was rather sad, with just a hint of pathetic :P But I sure hope that we do one day run into each other randomly! That would be rad. This short film represents the video portion of my senior thesis/solo exhibit at The University of Texas at Dallas, containing footage that spans an entire year.
“Memories of the Everyday”
Lauren Marek documents the everyday through photographs and video, focusing on her intimate relationships with friends and family. Through the record of these unfolding moments, she begins to blur the line between staged event and real experience—-echoing the uncertainty and elusiveness of memories themselves.
